Newman family

The Newman family is one of the core families on CBS daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. The family is currently represented by Victor Newman and his four living children, Victoria, Nicholas, Adam and Abby Newman and Victor's three time ex-wife, Nikki. The family is also well known for its long standing feud with the Abbott family.

First Generation

Second Generation

• Victor Newman (born as Christian Miller)

Patriarch of the Newman family. Father of Victoria Newman Abbott and Nicholas Newman (with Nikki Reed), Adam Newman (with Hope Adams) and Abby Newman (with Ashley Abbott). Victor is the billionaire founder and chairman of Newman Enterprises, a multinational corporation. Victor has been married nine times (in some cases married multiple times to the same person) Victor's former wives include: Julia Newman, Nikki Reed, Leanna Love Randolph, Ashley Abbott, Hope Adams, Diane Jenkins, and Sabrina Costelana. Jack Abbott is his arch rival and many of his disputes are with Jack. He doesn't have a good relationship with his son, Adam and does not like his only son-in-law Billy Abbott. He is grandfather to Nick's children Cassie Newman(deceased), Noah Newman and Faith Newman, (with Sharon Collins Newman) and Summer Newman (with Phyllis Summers Newman) and Victoria's son Reed Hellstrom (with J.T. Hellstrom).

Third Generation

• Victoria Newman (born Victoria Nicole Newman on July 21, 1971)

Victor's oldest child and only daughter with Nikki Reed. She is the light in Victor's eyes, but has had many disputes with him, most recently over her marriage to Billy Abbott. She has been married five times to (in sequential order) Ryan McNeil, Cole Howard, Brad Carlton, J.T. Hellstrom and currently to Billy Abbott. She is the mother to Reed Hellstrom (with J.T. Hellstrom). She has experience two miscarriages and had one child Eve Nicole Howard (with Cole) die shortly after birth. She and Billy adopted Lucy Abbott illegally (who has since been given to her birth grandmother and Victoria's former sister-in-law, Phyllis Summers Newman). Victoria is currently working with her father, dispite their differences, at Newman Enterprises as the current Chief Executive Officer and head of the Beauty of Nature product line.

• Nicholas Newman (born Nicholas Christian Newman on November 3, 1974)

Victor's first and oldest son with Nikki Reed. Nicholas has had a rocky relationship with his father. Nicholas is the father to four children Cassie Newman who he adopted and is now deceased. Noah Newman and Faith Newman whom he shares parenting with Sharon Collins Newman and Summer Newman whom he shares with Phyllis Summers Newman. Nicholas is currently single and owns Restless Style Magazine.

• Adam Newman (born Victor Adam Wilson on April 21, 1976)

Victor's second son and only child with Hope Adams. Adam grew up away from Victor with his mother and step-father Cliff Wilson on a farm in Kansas. Adam graduated from Harvard University and is said to have the business-savy of his father, which has become one of his biggest rivals. Adam has retinitis pigmentosa a degenerative eye disease that causes blindness inharited from his mother. He has been married twice, once to Sharon Collins Newman his brother's ex-wife and once to Skye Lockhart a former college girlfriend. Adam is the owner and CEO of a hedge fund, but recently took a position on the Board and as an Executive at Newman Enterprises.

• Abby Newman (born Abigail Abbott Carlton Newman on November 13, 1988)

Victor's youngest and only daughter with Ashley Abbott. Originally, it was believed that Brad Carlton was her father but it turned out that Victor Newman was. She, like her siblings, has had a rocky relationship with Victor. As a teenager, she had a Paris Hilton-like public persona known as the "Naked Heiress". Now that she's a young adult, she has cleaned up her image and is representing herself and her families (the Newmans and the Abbotts) with dignity.
